In the kitchen, stone framing and slatted detail on the cabinetry and a movable ladder that tucks away in the coffee station area add both functionality and visual interest. The stone framing, hood, backsplash and countertops are made of ultra-dense marble-look Dekton; the cabinetry is a mix of slab wood, slatted wood and white slim Shaker. Other details include the brass pulls and faucet, a sculptural light fixture over the island, a desk area with overhead shelving, and a banquette. The dining room has a cozy seating nook and a white oak dining table and chairs. In the entryway, the drywall closet was replaced with a coat closet with an integrated bench; terrazzo-style and solid tile flooring laid out in a checkerboard pattern is both sophisticated and playful.
