Two partitions were removed to make the space larger. The large island is the central focal point and posed a design challenge in terms of traffic flow and comfortable seating. An L-shaped banquette and stools surround the island. The cooking area is on one side and a niche for small appliances and a coffeemaker on the other side. Other features include the white cabinetry and the wood paneling with its art display.
