Vintage-Modern Style Home

This Anaheim, CA house had an original builder grade design, and the new homeowners wanted a more custom look. See the features of this vintage-modern style home in this HouzzTV video:

The living room was enhanced with reclaimed wood beams on the ceiling and a reclaimed wood mantel. Blue and white colors are incorporated into the woven rug, custom drapery and the hand-painted tile on the fireplace. There is an art TV over the fireplace, which is flanked by matching rattan servers. An extra long couch, two leather chairs and poufs provide comfortable seating. Vintage pops include a black lacquered bean pot filled with vintage arrows, books, brass decor and a pottery vase.

In the kitchen, the island was painted a bright blue. Black pendant lighting, a super industrial high-arc pull-down faucet, black stainless refrigerator, wooden framed hood, and brass pulls and handles make a bold statement. The adjacent dining nook has an extendable round table and a whimsical shell and brass light fixture.

The ceiling beams and canopy bed draw the eye upward in the master bedroom. A bench provides a place for taking off shoes and stacking pillows at night. In the ensuite bath, paneling was added around the bottom of the tub along with a surround for items like shampoo and soap.

Other features include a dedicated playroom with custom built-ins, desks and a fridge for drinks and snacks and a home office with a striking brass desk and a burnished brass chandelier with hand-blown glass globes.
