Using Sheds to Organize Your Gardening Workspace
Are you an avid gardener? You can create a fantastic workspace using storage sheds and a potting bench. Learn how to create a gardening workspace in this video by Lowe’s Creative Ideas:
This unused space was transformed by setting up two Rubbermaid sheds and one potting bench tied together with a striped awning. One shed can hold hoes, rakes, and other yard tools while another can be customized with different sizes of shelving to hold items like flower pots and plant food.
A catch-all was made from a section of gutter and screwed into the door. Near the catch-all is a dry erase board made out of white hardboard wall panel which is used for a gardening calendar.
Two simple frames are mounted on the wall. One with hardware cloth attached on the backside can be used as a drying rack for herbs and flowers; alternatively, you can use S hooks to hang tools or gloves. The other has hardboard attached to the back which was painted with chalkboard paint to provide a board for notes or a shopping list.
The centerpiece of this gardening workspace is a potting bench which is simple to build and provides a place for projects with kids or for extra storage for dirt and pots.
