Updated Warm and Inviting Condo

This updated warm and inviting condo, part of a converted church rectory, had a renovation in the 1990’s, but it was outdated and lacked functionality. The updated space has a cove ceiling that facilitated the addition of recessed lighting. Custom furnishings and window treatments such as the lined sheer drapery, gray-blue sofa, and oversized dining banquette add texture and softness. Flipping the kitchen layout allowed reorientation and repositioning of the island which has space for a microwave, garbage bin and extra storage. Originally white, the renovated kitchen is now darker and moodier with dark quartz countertops and backsplash and open shelving in lieu of upper cabinetry. The dramatic powder room has dark vinyl wallpaper, a custom walnut vanity and new hex design floor tile. Mirrored closets were replaced with custom walnut closets in the main bedroom, which has a custom upholstered bed. In the main bathroom, the tub/shower combo was replaced with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom, which serves as a den/office/guest bedroom, was refreshed with custom wallpaper on the ceiling, an oversized rattan light, a sleeper sofa, desk, and artwork.
