Updated Victorian Home in the Toronto Beaches

This updated Victorian home in the Toronto beaches has modern elements but maintains some of its original character. The foyer has checkerboard floors and a custom stained glass window in the stairwell. Off the foyer, one archway leads into the dining room which has a built-in wet bar, while a second archway lead into the open concept kitchen and living room space. The kitchen has a large island, creamy white cabinetry, a mix of dark and white porcelain countertops, and a large plaster-cladded hood. In the living room, the built-ins are a mix of lower cabinetry and upper open shelving with black-framed glass doors; there is also a large sectional, a fireplace, and a beautiful patterned rugs that incorporates all the colors of the furniture, pillow and throws. Just off the main living space is the mudroom which has a bench with built-in storage and dark subway tile flooring laid in a brick leg pattern. Other features include the powder room with its vintage-style wallpaper, gold finishes, and herringbone tile and the primary bedroom which has a neutral color palette with black accents.
