Updated 1980’s Log Cabin

The original terra cotta, orange and yellow palette of this updated 1980’s log cabin was refreshed with a cleaner aesthetic and lots of navy to make the logs stand out. A full bathroom on the main floor was converted into a mudroom and dog shower area with tumbled slate flooring. The kitchen cabinetry was repainted in navy, and the white countertops and backsplash brighten the space. An antique table and indoor-outdoor rug makes the dining space more kid-friendly. The great room is the perfect place for family gatherings and entertaining with its huge vaulted ceiling, large windows, enormous fireplace and lots of comfortable seating. A loft space, ensuite and a great view make the master bedroom a serene retreat. Take the tour in this House & Home video:
