Ultimate Panthers Backyard Makeover

This backyard had a lots of weeds and rocks and was not conducive to entertaining, and this family wanted the perfect outdoor space to watch their favorite NFL team. See the details of this ultimate Panthers backyard makeover in this Lowe’s video:

The design goal was to create three zones – one for drinking, one for eating and one for lounging and game viewing.

1. The old plants, weeds and rocks were removed to extend the existing outdoor kitchen. Landscape fabric was laid down, then a paver base, then pavers to create an area for bar stool seating, and the brick was painted black. Additional seating and a serving table makes the space more functional.

2. A tall planter box with trellis was built in the corner of the backyard. The structure does double-duty as a foundation for an outdoor projection screen.

3. A seating area covered in river stone was outfitted with chairs, side tables and a central fire pit to provide the perfect spot for game viewing, as does the nearby “hang-and-chill” outdoor dining space.

4. Painted in Panthers team colors, the bar shed has cabinetry, butcher block countertopa, a fridge, a TV and additional bar stools.

5. Pine straw covers the remaining unfinished areas in the backyard.
