Turn a Pumpkin Into a Halloween Floral Arrangement

Nothing says “fall” like pumpkins. While you probably use them for jack-o-lanterns and holiday pies, they can also serve as containers for flowers. Learn how to turn a pumpkin into a beautiful Halloween floral arrangement in this P. Allen Smith video:

1. Cut a section out of the pumpkin and remove the seeds.
2. If you are using fresh flowers, put in a piece of well-soaked floral foam. You can use an ordinary piece of styrofoam if you are only using dry materials.
3. Depending on your arrangement, add dry flowers, seed heads of grasses, seed pods, fruit and fresh flowers. Remember to keep the arrangement low if you will be using it as a centerpiece. If you are short on time, buy potted mums and just drop them in.
