Many people are scared to commit to hanging artwork as they are worried about putting nail holes in their walls and finding afterward that they don’t like the layout. Get tips for hanging artwork in this video by The Design Network:

Start with scale. If it’s a smaller room, use smaller scaled artwork. If it’s a larger room, start with a larger piece and build out from there. Think about eye level; 57-60 inches is a great place to hang that first piece of art.

Here is a trick for hanging artwork that’s simple, easy and cheap. Get brown craft paper and blue painters tape that will not damage the wall. Cut out pieces of the craft paper that perfectly match the size of the artwork you want to hang. Use the painters tape to attach the craft paper pieces onto the wall in your desired layout. If you don’t like the arrangement, move the craft paper pieces around until you get a layout that you like. Once you’ve finalized your layout, you can commit with nails and a hammer and hang your artwork.
