Tips For Creating a Warm Comfortable Den

Do you have a “blah” den that consists of an
office, library and lots of junk? If so, it’s probably a room that’s bugging you and one you don’t spend much time in. This HGTV video presents several tips for creating a warm comfortable den:

Build a giant library that follows the architectural form of the peak. Have it custom built on the back wall so this beautiful library will be the first thing people see when they enter the room.

Place a large adult-size surface area in front of that library that invites people to work and sit. Add upholstered seating options to create a feeling of comfortable warmth.

Add vintage mirrors and photographs that you can find at architectural salvage shops or flea markets. If you don’t have big enough pieces for the space, group several smaller pieces together tightly to make it feel like one giant piece.
