Tiny Kitchen Renovation

What can you do with a small, dark kitchen that is tucked into the back of the house? Watch how the Kitchen Cousins totally transform this tiny kitchen in this HGTV video:

Most of the brick wall that separated the living room from the kitchen was taken down, while a wall was added to the back of the kitchen to accommodate the refrigerator.

Features of this kitchen makeover include:

  • New appliances, including a French door refrigerator, 30″ gas range with side burners and oven, and dishwasher.
  • Backsplash made from old newpaper clippings and old school magazines, giving the kitchen a modern urban look.
  • New maintenance-free quartz countertops. The white color breaks up the upper and lower dark cabinetry and adds a contemporary flair.
  • Large, deep undermount stainless sink with separate hand sprayer, which remained underneath the window for lighting and for looking out.
  • Six-inch bar addition on the opposite wall.
