Surprising choices in color, pattern and flowers will give you great looking Thanksgiving table decorations and centerpieces that are also conversation pieces. Here are three style ideas:
- Fabric chair covers are a great way to decorate in any style and color. The crimson color definitely proclaims the fall season. The centerpiece starts with orchids on a gold charger, bringing in more rich tone. White votive candles provide a soft glow. If you need room for more people, duplicate the centerpiece the whole length of the table.
- Create a fun, informal and affordable holiday centerpiece starting with items you find around your home. Fill vases with colorful fall leaves you collect from your yard and place votive candles in orange glasses. Cool table settings and an orange plaid tablecloth add a personal touch.
- An eclectic look combines two or three styles such as modern, traditional or casual and mixes up colors. A deep purple tablecloth provides a great base that makes your table decor and centerpiece stand out. Try two vertical table runners for a completely new look. Tie in the purple tablecloth with plum colored vases and coordinated floral displays. Bring in more vibrance with hip green polka dot votive candle holders.
Some final decorating tips:
- Tablecloths should drape at least six inches on all sides.
- Keep the centerpiece height down low so guests can look over it and across the table at each other.
