Teenage Girl’s Entertaining Space
This unfinished basement had a concrete floor, no ceiling, no walls, and years and years of junk. Once the junk was cleared out, it was transformed into a comfortable area where teenagers can hang out and adults can exercise. See the details of this teenage girl’s entertaining space in this House & Home video:
The stairway was opened up into the basement, and a runner was added to the stairs. A traditional floral wallpaper inspired the color palette, with brown in the area rug, gray in the sectional and pink in the throw pillows.
Upholstered in a family- and pet-friendly fabric, the large cozy sectional is a great place to watch TV or converse in front of the fireplace. A run of black cabinetry with a fridge stores drinks and snacks. The adjacent table and chairs provides a place to eat and do homework.
The home gym has wood-look vinyl flooring and is separated from the living area by wooden sliding doors. A large storage closet completes this finished basement.
