Sophisticated Urban Galley Kitchen Transformation

A high contrast kitchen with blacks, whites and tarnished golds was achieved with paint and changing out the hardware. Introducing a new light fixture in the breakfast area marries all of the finishes together. The countertops and flooring were unchanged but brought together with a beautiful chevron marble backsplash with grays, black, and creams.

A beautiful touch-operated faucet with a black finish was added. The window frames, door frames, banquette and chair legs were painted, and a new burnished gold light fixture above the sink ties in with the fixture in the breakfast area. Roman blinds were mounted high to extend the ceilings; the fabric is modern and edgy and ties the entire color palette together.

One of the great successes of this redesign is the contrast throughout the kitchen. With this newfound sophistication and beautiful redesign, this kitchen should last for many more years to come.
