Serene Master Bedroom

With a simple color scheme and muted patterns, this master bedroom is high style and low stress.

The room is wrapped from walls to ceiling in a deep shade of navy. The darkness of the navy is perfectly balanced thanks to the bleached wood floors. White drapes add a nice contrast as well as a rich texture. A cozy area rug pulls the simple navy and white palette together.

The king-size bed is meant to visually pull you in and make you just want to kick back and relax. The wing-backed style tailored headboard is covered in a very light shade of gray, but against all of the navy, it reads as a true white. Layered pillows in different styles provide added interest. Two matching dressers placed on each side of the bed have a really hefty scale that truly anchors the space.

A generously-sized seating area adds a secondary living space to the bedroom. The comfortable, casual, armless settee is covered in a white and blue diamond geometric pattern. Flanking the armless settee is a pair of rattan armchairs which are totally coastal and appropriate for the area; they also have white upholstery which makes them light and airy. The textures and colors are meant to complement the view and extend the visual line of the indoors to the outdoor spaces.
