Secret Door Disguised as a Bookcase
A laundry room turned man cave is hidden behind a secret door designed as a bookcase. See the details of this project in this DIY Network video:
The old jambs and trim for the old door were removed. Fluted trim was used on the room side, and two-by-fours were added on the hallway side to increase the depth of the walls. The hinged bookcase was built out of MDF and has three shelves with a set of dummy doors on the bottom. With the right touch, this secret door opens to reveal the hidden man cave.
