School Bus Conversion

So many of us dream of living a life of travel and adventure, but it’s also important to have a place to call home – somewhere to retreat to at the end of the day and call our own. This school bus conversion has all the conveniences of home and is ready to go anywhere. Take the tour in this Living Big in a Tiny Home video:

Purchased at an auction, the large bus is 38 ft x 7-1/2 ft and has a 28-in interior roof raise. Five solar panels, a wood-burning stove and chimney, and an 80-gallon water tank allows this home to be off-grid. The solar batteries are located in the pre-built storage compartments on the side of the bus, freeing up space on the inside of the bus.

A stonework entrance leads up to the living space. The dashboard was converted into a couch for the homeowner’s dogs. A couch in the living area doubles as a guest bed. The long kitchen has a spacious undercounter fridge, butler’s sink and full-size stove. The bathroom has a vanity, composting toilet and beautiful shower. In the back of the bus, a door leads into a full-sized bedroom with storage cabinets.
