Scandi and Japandi Design Styles

Back in the day, Scandinavian design (at least in the U.S.) was architecturally interesting, but the overall feel was cold and impersonal. Today’s Scandi style is clean, open and cozy and has a very light neutral color palette consisting of white, off-white, green and terracotta and a few black accents. Japandi is a mixture of the traditional Japanese style of interior design mixed with the hygge comfort of the Scandi style. This style radiates harmony, serenity and calmness and features natural materials.
