Rustic Master Bathroom Renovation
This master bathroom was a beige and brown cave with a kid-height vanity. The homeowners started a makeover that was halfway in the right direction, but they soon realized that the white subway tile was not enough. With five easy DIY projects in one weekend, DIY expert Monica Mangin creates a space with more color, brightness and rustic character. See the details of this rustic master bathroom renovation in this Lowe’s video:
1. To brighten the space while providing some contrast, the walls were painted in a white that was a different tone from the subway tile.
2. The two small round mirrors were replaced with a builder-grade rectangular mirror customized with a distressed pine frame.
3. New wood-look tile was installed over the old flooring.
4. The mini-vanity was replaced with a new distressed double sink vanity with oil-rubbed bronze faucets and stone countertop.
5. Unique wall art was created by mounting
low-maintenance air plants on distressed wood pieces.
