Renovated Victorian Home with Heritage and South Asian Elements
This renovated Victorian home with heritage and South Asian elements is designed for entertaining. A glass and black metal double door systems in the entrance vestibule not only makes the space feel larger and lets in light but also protects the home from cold winter weather. The main floor was opened up, and new Victorian-style moldings replaced the ones that had been stripped off over the years. In the dining room, removal of the wall separating it from the hallway allows for increased flow; built-ins provide storage as well as concealing the radiators. Dark built-in cabinetry conceals the appliances as well as the different ceiling heights in the galley kitchen which has marble porcelain countertops and backsplash and white oak herringbone floors. The updated powder room has a lilac marble vanity and beautiful peacock patterned wallpaper. On the second floor, the home office and bathroom spaces were flipped. The home office has an adjacent outdoor space and a coffee/cocktail bar. A steam shower, freestanding tub and calm color palette set the mood in the relaxing spa bathroom.
