Renovated Suburban Home

The look of this renovated suburban home was completely changed with an infusion of character, warmth and personality that did not require moving any walls. In the foyer, the stairs were updated with a new banister, treads and risers and stained to match the new oak flooring; the black paneled wall adds drama and depth to the space. A very large L-shaped custom sofa in the family room opens up to the dining room and kitchen and is perfect for flow and for entertaining; the opposing wall has a gas fireplace with a porcelain slab and an adjacent slatted TV wall with storage. The large kitchen has black cabinetry, quartz countertops, floating shelves, and a new faucet, hardware and white tile backsplash. A custom black oak built-in in the dining room holds extra dishes and decorative items. The powder room has bold floor tile and wallpaper and a black and brass color scheme. Other features include the combination home office/denm master bedroom, kids’ bedrooms and a spare room which serves as a yoga space. Take the tour in this House & Home video:
