Renovated California Desert Home
This renovated California desert home underwent a complete transformation. New larger front windows and a new front door draw the visitor’s attention to the existing palm trees. Polished concrete flooring runs throughout the entire house. The living room has colorful furniture, jute and Moroccan rugs, and recessed perimeter lighting which makes the space feel bigger. Removal of a pony wall and relocating the front door opened up the kitchen to the main living space and allowed for more counter space. The updated kitchen has new windows, a colorful blue cement tile backsplash, wooden countertops, upper open shelving and a concrete farmhouse sink. In the bathroom, the tub/shower combo was replaced with a walk-in shower; the in-wall faucet allows for more countertop space on the rustic vanity. The old patio was enclosed to create a guest bedroom that does double duty as a lounge space. Take the tour in this HouzzTV video:
