Open-Concept Family-Friendly Main Level

The main floor of this home had an awkward layout with small rooms, an odd addition in the back and a maze of angled walls. Designer Olivia Botrie transformed the space into an open-concept family-friendly main level. Extending the addition across the back of the house allowed for the creation of a mudroom, coffee station and bar area with a sculptural round table in the middle that acts like a foyer table. Rotating the stairs to the basement enabled the extension of the kitchen which has a large island, wicker pendants, brass patina hood, and pantry. The adjacent dining room has a long table, upholstered chairs and artwork. Other features include the cozy living room and the powder room with its dark green wainscoting and beautiful floral wallpaper. Take the tour in this House & Home video:
