Open and Airy Guest Suite

The open and airy guest suite in the 2017 HGTV Urban Oasis is an excellent place for friends and family to stay the night, and it’s packed with tailored touches. See the features in this HGTV video:

The bedroom is designed to be calm and serene, and it’s aided by symmetry. Positioned in front of the windows, the canopied bed frames the view and is the main focal point in the room. There are two matching upholstered nightstands, each with the same iron lamp. And at the foot of the bed, there are two ottomans pushed together.

There’s also a nice mix of texture, with a jute rug on the floor, nailhead detail on the nightstands, a wooden beaded light fixture, and a concrete top on the console table. The dominant color in this space is greige, but little pops of indigo really add that final touch, which makes the room balanced.

A unique feature is the oversized wall art which is actually a duvet cover with the perfect blend of pattern, texture and color for the space. It was stretched and framed to create a wall tapestry.

Attached to the bedroom is a full bathroom with a color palette of a very spa-like shade of green. There’s a walk-in shower with a modern sliding barn door, and the fixtures are all in a beautiful shade of champagne bronze.
