Nursery with Cosmic Chic

A vintage Darth Vader phone was the inspiration for this galactic-themed nursery makeover. The design challenge was how to make the room interesting and hip without feeling like a theme park.

The nursery has a dramatic blue color palette created by the beautiful statement wallpaper on one wall, which gives the space a non-literal cosmic feel, along with the Pitch Blue paint on the ceiling and the other walls. The dark blue tones are balanced with white drapery, white mid-century furniture, a gray glider and gray galactic-themed bedding. A sheepskin rug, statement art piece, black side table lamp, black-and-brass chandelier and the Darth Vader phone provide the finishing touches.
