Natural Country Spa Design
This country spa design captures nature in the textiles and in the walls. Take a virtual walk-through in this Kohler video:
The ceiling was lowered to create a portal that you can walk through as a transition space. It is defined by corten steel with one strong vertical light that acts like a lighthouse, guiding you in. There is a stone fountain with clear bubbling water. Walking through the portal, you see a stacked wall with primitive cast concrete tiles with a spa bed set against it.
The toilet room has burnished chocolate plaster walls with a hatbox toilet.
Designed for lounging, the large steam shower features stacked water tiles, bench and a handheld shower. The adjacent room has two matching vanities with ample storage that are flanked by mirrors and lights.
Going through another portal, you see an ivory white tub showcased on a natural teak platform with an arc light behind it on the wall.
Slats on the windows are arranged so you can see the tops of the trees, bringing the outside in and the inside out. Large chairs with rayon, fluffy, fur-like throws add a cozy touch.
