Multi-Purpose Dining Room and Bold Mom Cave
Most people hardly ever use their dining rooms and treat them as a “holy grail” or shrine. If your dining room is not working for you, instead of wasting it, turn it into a multi-use space. Designer Nicole White presents her multi-purpose dining room and bold “mom cave” in this HouzzTV video:
This multi-purpose dining room has a lot happening going on; it serves as a dining room, home office, coffee station and wine bar. The showstopping wood treatment goes up the wall and onto the ceiling, and the black bamboo floor is stunning. There are two pendant lights over the table and recessed lights under the wood treatment. The black bamboo floor is stunning. There are two wine refrigerators plus the built-ins. Animal prints in the drapery add an element of playfulness.
With its black walls and ceiling, the moody mom cave is a place for reading and relaxation, so books and the built-ins are front and center. The paintings by Cuban and New York artists and the “bling” light fixture make a bold and stylish statement.
