Multi-functional Garage

The design goal was to create a place to hang out comfortably, include some fun, all-ages activities, and make it look amazing.

The comfortable modular sofa can be reconfigured in all different types of positions. An area rug softens the space. No modern-day lounge is complete without a TV, and this flatscreen is incorporated into a gallery wall collection, making the overall look decorative. All of the walls are filled floor to ceiling with art, packing the room with color, pattern and personality. A high-style foosball table adds a recreational touch.

The lounge disguises the fact that this space is still a fully-functioning garage. Rolling back the area rug reveals the concrete floor that you can park your car on. Instead of the run-of-the-mill metal cabinets, these cabinets have more of a walnut finish.

Table lamps and a floor lamp provide plenty of ambient lighting. But best of all, this space is air- conditioned, making it multi-functional all year long.

The idea of converting a garage into a lounge isn’t for everyone, but after seeing this space, you may rethink the way you use your own garage.
