Mountain Cabin With a Ski Resort Feel

Does a 23′ x 34′ mountain cabin sound small? See how an open design plan gives this 750 square foot space a ski resort feel in this HGTV Remodels video:

The homeowners wanted a small space that didn’t feel cramped and cluttered, so the space is completely open with the exception of the bathroom.

A wall of windows allows tons of light to fill the house, making it feel more spacious.

Along the back wall is the stylish kitchen with its cement countertop and floor goes along with the modern rustic vibe of the rest of the house and serves as the kitchen, pantry and laundry room (one cabinet hides the washer and dryer). A window lives behind the open cedar shelving, allowing light to fill the main space.

The bathroom has a recessed shelving unit and an extra large mirror gives the illusion of a bigger bathroom.

In the kids’ bedroom area, each bunk bed has its own window and extra deep sill that doubles as a shelf. The master bedroom area has a privacy curtain, sconce lighting and over-the-bed cabinets.

The custom-made dining table seats up to six people, while the coffee table has a hidden drawer for storage.
