Master Bath Designed For Comfort

The master bath is (besides the kitchen) almost the second most important room in the house as our homes have become a place where we want to pamper ourselves. Carol Schalla, Midwest Living Senior Home Editor, discusses the product choices and materials incorporated into this Door County retreat master bath that was designed for comfort:

The focal point of this master bath is a walk-in two person shower with a seating area which is ideal for empty nesters. It has multiple square polished chrome shower tiles which are aesthetically beautiful and can be tilted to direct the spray. Several tiles are directed toward the seating area, enabling sitting showers. This shower also has a steam function and a handheld shower head.

Choosing the Botticelli carrara marble vessel sinks influenced all of the finishes in this bathroom. The sinks are beautiful with clean lines and simple Purist faucets and resemble pieces of sculpture. The floor and shower were also tiled with carrara marble throughout, creating a restful peaceful atmosphere and making this bath a place you can escape to and relax.
