Light and Lively Main Floor Makeover

The homeowners wanted to add pizzazz and warmth to their open concept family home. See the features of this light and lively main floor makeover in this House & Home video:

This makeover required no structural changes. In the kitchen, the lower cabinetry and island were painted dark blue and the pantry white. The wine racks were eliminated from the island to allow seating for three. The corner desk was replaced with a custom white oak hutch that displays the homeowners’ collected china. Because there already was sufficient storage, the upper cabinetry was replaced with open white oak shelving. A custom banquette next to the kitchen flows out to the patio.

Across from the kitchen is the family area which has a coffered ceiling and a marble fireplace with custom mantel and overhead recessed TV. The powder room has a dark blue vanity and a fun graphic wallpaper.
