Laundry Room Done Right

The laundry room in the HGTV 2015 Dream Home is a perfect example of a utilitarian space done right. See the features in this HGTV video:

The design and decorating tricks make this room one that you actually want to spend time in.

Classic white cabinetry running up to the ceiling conceals storage of everything you need to have but don’t necessarily want to see. Architectural interest is provided by the v-board added to the walls and ceiling and depth created by the white ceiling and the blue-gray walls.

Just below the cabinetry is a folding station made with a beautiful rich slab of mahogany with smaller storage solutions sitting on top of it. The side-by-side washer and dryer are directly beneath the folding station.

A table lamp and overscale piece of art adds personality. Mosaic marble flooring provides the finishing touch.
