L-Shaped Living Room Design Challenge
This L-shaped living room was not working for these homeowners as it was overloaded with furniture on one side and with dead space on the other. See how interior designer Kim Smart takes on this design challenge in this Smart Interior video:
The TV cabinet was moved to the adjacent wall with the sectionals positioned at an angle, opening up the space. Layered beige and orange rugs, a smaller coffee table and a small round table complete the space. Floating display shelves were mounted on the focal wall that was formerly occupied by the TV cabinet.
In the other side of the L, a chair and sofa were positioned at an angle in the other section. The vintage trunk hides the radiator, while the buffet occupies the long wall. Art and accessories provide the finishing touches.
