Incredible House Boat in Auckland

This inspiring couple built their dream home and lifestyle all by constructing an incredible house boat in Auckland reminiscent of the float homes of British Columbia. Take the tour in this Living Big in a Tiny Home video:

This floating home is 5 ft x 38 ft and is built from plywood and fiberglass, with a catamaran-style hull, two large storage hatches and wraparound decks. Bedrooms are located down low with higher windows. A hollow hull allows for under-the-floor storage, enabling the open layout.
The bathroom has a marine flush toilet, normal-sized shower, a teak vanity and a combination washer/dryer.

Upstairs, there is a cozy lounge space and a kitchen/dining area with a large table, sink, gas burner and breakfast bar. The kitchen opens to the outer deck which has a comfortable seating area and great marina views.
