How to Upgrade to a Smart Thermostat

1. Turn off power at circuit breaker.
2. Remove cover. Take a photo of how outlet is wired, and label wires.
3. Disconnect wires and remove back plate.
4. Patch and paint wall.
5. Thread wires through back plate and attach to wall.
6. Insert wires into thermostat.
7. Attach display plate to back plate.
8. Turn on power at circuit breaker. Program according to manufacturer instructions.
