- Quartz is a moderately priced anti-microbial composite material that is ideal for high-use bathrooms. It resists scratches and stains and never needs sealing or polishing.
- Travertine is moderately priced natural stone that has a high-end designer look. It is not stain or acid resistant, however, and it requires regular sealing.
- Granite has an expensive high-end designer look. Ideal for high-traffic areas, it is durable, water and stain resistant, and is easy to clean.
- Marble is a high-priced elegant material that comes in a variety of colors. While it is heat-resistant, it is more porous than granite, susceptible to staining, and easily scratched.
- Solid surface is a moderately priced material that resembles stone but is made from synthetic particles and resins. It is ideal for high-use bathrooms as it is water and stain resistant and easy to clean and repair.
