How to Plant a Terrarium
Terrariums are gardens under glass that provide an easy and fun way to grow plants indoor. Learn how to plant a terrarium in this Lowe’s video:
1. Start with a glass vessel such as a fish bowl or flower vase with no drainage holes. Add about 2-3 inches of gravel to the bottom for drainage.
2. Add about 4 inches of potting soil and smooth it out.
3. Add plants. Choose something tall, something creeping, and/or something colorful and bright, depending on the size of your glass vessel.
4. Add decoration such as colorful pebbles or small figurines.
Terrariums are low maintenance; just spritz them with a water bottle as needed.
