How to Paint a Garage Floor

Start by clearing everything out of the garage (this is the perfect opportunity to declutter). Clean the floor thoroughly with a degreaser and a bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly and let dry.

Select a concrete garage floor paint and primer for this project. Use a brush to trim the perimeter and those hard-to-reach areas, then use a long-handled roller to apply an even coat on the floor. Apply this in sections of 4′ x 4′ and maintain a wet edge to prevent lap marks and the gloss differences. Let paint dry for 5 days before driving on it.
