How to Mount a Flat Screen TV
Modern TVs are lightweight for easy wall installation. Learn how to mount a flat screen TV in this Lowe’s video:
Mounts come in three basic styles:
- Low profile: Standard mount that does not adjust
- Tilting: Adjusts to reduce screen glare
- Full motion: Adjustable for many viewing angles
1. Pick a TV height that is comfortable for you. Mark that position with painter’s tape.
2. Use a stud finder to locate studs within this area.
3. Drill pilot holes into the studs.
4. Attach your mount securely to the wall and to the TV.
5. Attach a board to the studs to expand the mounting area, then mount your TV between the studs using this method.
