How to Make Seed Tape
An easy way to plant a row of perfectly spaced seeds is to use seed tape, which is something you can make at home with everyday materials. Learn how to make seed tape in this video by Better Homes and Gardens:
1. Make seed glue by mixing equal parts flour and water. Gradually add flour to make a thin paste.
2. Fold toilet paper in half to make a crease, then unfold.
3. Dip a toothpick into the seed glue, then place seed glue on the toilet paper fold at intervals recommended on the seed packet (use a ruler or measuring tape).
4. Place seeds onto the seed glue on the toilet paper.
5. Dot seed glue around the perimeter.
6. Fold and let dry.
7. Roll seet tape around a cardboard tube.
8. Store in a cool, dry place until ready to plant.
