Using battery-powered candles and lights eliminates the risk of fire and the mess of dripping wax and provides the convenience of remote control. You will also need succulents, terrariums, twine and a pot rack for this DIY project.

1. Hang a pot rack on a pergola or sturdy tree.

2. Pot succulents in small hanging terrariums. You can use real plants or choose maintenenace-free faux succulents.

3. String twine through the top of the terrariums.

4. Attach the terrariums to the pot rack. Stagger the heights to add dimension.

5. Add light with flameless votive candles.

6. Lay a piece of fabric on top of the pot rack.

7. Layer moss, flameless pillar candles, and battery-operated rice lights.
