In the bedroom featured in this video, the ceiling was painted a cast iron color and the walls were painted an arid tundra (light neutral) color. Two coats of paint were applied to both the ceiling and the wall. Trim was added to the window to frame it and give it depth and texture. The darker color on the ceiling with the lighter walls draws the eye up and makes the ceiling look taller, which in turn makes the room look larger.
