How to Make a Leaning Produce Bin

Instead of cluttering your kitchen countertop with bowls, go vertical and store fruits and veggies in wire baskets on a repurposed shutter. Learn how to make a leaning produce bin in this HGTV video:

1. Sand down the rough spots on an old shutter and wipe clean.

2. Coat the shutter with acrylic spray paint.

3. Apply chalkboard paint to a small piece of scrap wood and let dry. Attach it to the top of the shutter. Label the shutter as appropriate.

4. Spray paint S-hooks and let dry, then mount them on the shutter.

5. Place the shutter on a countertop and lean against the wall.

6. Hang wire baskets on the S-hooks and fill them with fruits or vegetables.
