How to Make a Halloween Village Wreath

This festive DIY wreath is decorated with spooky houses, tombstones, owls, bats, pumpkins and fairy lights. Learn how to make a Halloween village wreath in this Better Homes and Gardens video:



Houses:

1. Fold paper tube in half and unfold. Fold again on opposite side. Unfold and form a square shape.

2. Measure and mark 1-1/2 inches down from each corner. Cut to mark at corners.

3. Draw door and windows onto house. Cut out using crafts knife and scissors.

4. Hot-glue side flaps together at top to form roof. Hot-glue front and back flaps to side flaps. Cut off excess cardboard.

5. Cut out additional roof piece from another paper tube. Hot-glue to create roof overhang.

6. Paint house with dark color. Let dry completely.

7. Coat sections of house with Mod podge. Apply lighter paint colors while Mod podge is still wet. Dry with hair dryer to create crackle effect.

8. Repeat steps 1-7 for additional houses.

Tombstones:

1. Cut out assortment of tombstone shapes.

2. Glue wood craft sticks to bottom of tombstone to create base.

3. Paint tombstones assorted gray colors. Let dry completely.

Wreath:

1. Hot-glue moss to bottom half of grapevine wreath.

2. Hot-glue houses to wreath.

3. Create cemetery with tombstones and craft fences. Repeat around wreath.

4. Attach a stick for a tree.

5. Hot-glue miniature pumpkins and owl to wreath.

6. Add mini paper leaves to tree.

7. Wire battery pack of fairy lights to back of wreath.

8. Wrap fairy lights around top portion of wreath.

9. Add spiders, bats and bigger paper leaves.

10. Attach ribbon for hanging.
