How to Make a Fleece Tree Skirt

A tree skirt is an affordable way to hide the base of your Christmas tree. Learn how to make a fleece tree skirt in this video by Better Homes and gardens:



1. Cut a 60-inch square of wrapping paper.

2. Fold corner to corner to make a triangle. Continue folding to make a smaller triangle. Unfold.

3. Use a small mixing bowl to trace a circle.

4. Create a compass to draw a larger circle.

5. Cut out small circle for tree opening.

6. Using white sherpa fleece fabric, trace the paper pattern onto the back side of the fleece and cut.

7. Repeat step 6 using blue fleece fabric.

8. Layer the white fleece on top of the blue fleece.

9. Cut 4-inch slits through both layers around the outside edge.

10. Going around the skirt, fold up each slit and cut a smaller 1-inch slit, slip fringe through, and tighten.

11. Glue pom-pom trim around the inner circle.
