Use stencils to create a message and/or painters tape to create a design. Make sure your work area is well ventilated before applying the spray paint. Follow the spray paint instructions for the welcome mat material you plan to paint. Let the doormat dry overnight before using it. If you will be using the doormat outside, make sure you seal it first.
