Mix up a batch of chalk finish paint with 1/3 cup Plaster of Paris, 1/3 cup of cool water, and 1 cup of latex paint – and you’re ready to paint.

You will see brush strokes and texture in the finish as you apply it. As the finish tends to be brittle, use spray poly or a wipe on wax to seal the finish and protect the paint.
