How to Create Hanging Kale Planters

You can create hanging kale planters that are beautiful as well as edible. Learn how in this video by The Home Depot:

Kale is a great super food that is also attractive to hungry animals. A hanging garden arrangement keeps your kale off the ground and away from critters. Early spring is a great time to plant.

For this DIY project, you will need several hanging baskets, blue kale seed and small flowering plants such as pansies.

1. Cut slits through the bottom of the coco liner of the hanging basket.

2. Push small plants through the holes so that the roots are on the inside of the basket.

3. Fill the basket with potting mix.

4. Plant your kale seeds per the directions on the seed packets.

5. Cover the seeds with potting soil and water as directed.
