How to Create an Outdoor Basketball Court

Any plain concrete patio can be turned into a outdoor basketball court. Learn more about coatings, sizing and layout in this video by LandscapingNetwork.com:

The basketball court is created by using a rubberized green textured coating that is applied using trowels rather than paint brushes. This coating provides texture and flexibility and hides cracks in the concrete. White striping was subsequently applied.

Minimum size should be 22 ft. deep x 18 ft. across, giving you just enough room for the key and the free throw line. Make sure to leave enough room for the basketball hoop to be behind it and that you have sufficient vertical clearance above you. You should also consider where the balls are going to go when you shoot them and plan the court placement accordingly.
